Mystery P.I. - The New York Fortune is the third installment of the sequel which does not add anything new to its predecessor Mystery P.I. - The Vegas Heist, but it's OK. The story is very similar to the original, but this time you are hired to find a hidden fortune within 17 hours. The player can find all the items or either solve the puzzle as soon as they find the minimum required items. This new game also gives you the option of selecting unlimited hints or purchasing them any time you need them, costing you 7500 pints each and waiting a short time until the hint meter is refilled before using it again. As regards the objects and clues, some of them are really hard to find or some of them are presented in the list in a tricky way, for instance: “Angel’s instrument” is a harp. The objects have little to do with the story, but finding them leads you to the mini-games, which reveal one clue per level. The game features 25 levels with multiple locations that include: a baseball stadium, the Bronx, a night club, Times Square, among others. The graphics are good and the music and sound effects are suitable to the game. All in all, Mystery P.I. - The New York Fortune is a good hidden object game that definitely deserves a try. |
